Do you remember when you first started driving and had that one CD you listened to on repeat? You know, the one that let you be yourself while you screamed every single word to every single song in the privacy of your vehicle because it was the first time in your life you actually had independence and could be alone? I might somehow be dating myself (even though I’m only 27), so just think of your first Spotify playlist in your first car if you can’t relate. Anyways, my go-to CD was the original motion picture soundtrack from Frozen.
You’re either judging hardcore right now or you’ve gotten to know me (Bri) through this blog, Instagram, or our vlogs so you’re not the tiniest bit surprised.
Moral of the story, Frozen has a very special place in my heart, so I was low-key flipping out over the fact that we got to dine at Arendelle when sailing on the Disney Wish in February. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure did not disappoint.

The vibes are immaculate.
Disney Cruise Line always has the most immersive theming when it comes to their dining rooms, but we were completely blown away. I was speechless. Every single detail made me feel like I had really entered the castle and was attending Anna and Kristoff’s royal engagement party! Obviously, the experience would not be what it is without the work of the amazing Cast Members on the Disney Wish.
When you arrive, you’ll see the beautiful Arendelle sign and stone entryway, but that soon turns into a long hallway that makes you feel like you’re walking through the castle halls. Fun fact: there’s a bathroom at the beginning of the hallway if you need one (don’t worry, I got you). There are also portraits on the walls, just like the ones Anna talks to in the movie!

The details were STUNNING and absolutely adorable. I could flood this post with all the photos I took because it’s so hard to choose which are my favorite! However, I think my favorite detail was the suit of armor at the end of the hall.

When you enter the dining room you’ll see a room full of buffet-style dining tables, a stage, and so many more details!
I nearly fell over when we found out how close we were to the stage. However, the tables that weren’t directly next to the stage had other interactive features to look at. For example, the windows at the back of the dining room were actually the windows that were aft of the ship so when we left the port in Nassau, everyone in the back of the dining room had a breathtaking view of the island and the horizon. There wasn’t really a bad seat in the room.

Let’s get this party started!
I’m not gonna lie; there were a couple of things that made me go “huh?” when it came to the performances. Instead of Elsa singing “Let it Go’, it was actually Kristoff and Oaken (you know, hoo-hoo Oaken, from Wandering Oaken’s Trading Post and Sauna) who hit the stage for that iconic ballad. Honestly, they CRUSHED it. It was so funny! The main performers were “local” Nordic musicians because Elsa, Anna & Kristoff wandered around the dining room to greet all of the guests! Olaf is normally there but he didn’t make an appearance on our sailing.

We were entertained the entire time. Arendelle might be at the top of my list for the most fun I’ve had at a character dining experience. Story Book Dining at Artist Point at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge might be tied for first (if you were wondering what’s swaying my decision)!
***I just wanna mention that character dining like Story Book Dining at Walt Disney World can be hard to get during the busy season at the parks. Fortunately, if you plan your next Disney vacation with me, not only are my services 100% free for you to use but managing dining reservations is something that I do for my clients 🙂 If you’d like to get a quote for your next Disney vacation, fill out my form.
So remember when I said I had the best seat in the house?? My seat was right next to, what I imagine would be the equivalence of, the wings. AKA “off-stage” where performers wait for their cue. Half the time I didn’t even notice there was a performer waiting behind me until Dane pointed it out!

Foooooood.
Don’t worry; we have finally arrived at the best part. THE FOOD. All quick-service (except for coffee bars) and dining rotations are included in the price of your Disney Cruise Line vacation package. Each night at dinner, your meal includes an appetizer, soup or salad, the main entree, and dessert. Wanna know the best part? There’s no limit because it’s YOUR vacation. If you want to order every single thing on the menu, you can!

First up is the Smorgasbord. Dane ordered Anna’s Koldtbord and I went with Elsa’s Royal Baked Scallops.

Unfortunately, the salads didn’t have a fun name, just salad. Soups were “From the Kettle,” though! Dane ordered Nordic Cucumber, Potato & Carrot Salad, and I chose the Troll Valley Baby Field Greens. I’ve also gotta say, bear with me for the quality of these photos because they’re not bright and vibrant like food should be. The room was basically a gigantic theatre, so the lighting was a bit dim! My culinary degree is screaming in pain right now.

Entrees did not disappoint. Honestly, at this point, nothing was anything but exceptional. Dane ordered the Juniper Spiced Roasted Chicken Breast, and I had King Agnarr’s Dry-rubbed Roasted Pork Tenderloin.

Of course, you’ve gotta save the best for last. A little fun fact about me is that I eat, sleep, and breathe anything chocolate. I wish I was exaggerating, but I literally crave it at all hours of the day so 90% of the time I’m going for the chocolate dessert. Dane tried the Eplekake Apple Cake and I ordered the Troll Family’s Rock Chocolate Bar (obviously). We always share desserts so I can honestly say that both of these menu items were delicious and I would absolutely order them again.

Overall Opinion
In case I haven’t made it clear by now, We LOVED dining at Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure aboard the Disney Wish. I will forever be counting down the days until we can go back again! Although, we currently have a goal to sail on every ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, so it may be a while until we’re back on the Wish. But hey, you never know!
Arendelle was a perfect example of the quality Disney has to offer through ambiance, immersion, food, and entertainment. Cast Members are always the extra magic that makes it all come together.
